Diana's Legacy: A Modernized Monarchy

When I decided I wanted to write a book about Diana, I had to convince publishers of her enduring appeal. Nearly two decades after her death, the world remains fascinated by her.

As a contributing editor for British Heritage Travel covering the royals, my stories to date have been all about William and Kate. This month, I wanted to explore Diana's legacy as it relates to the British royal family which I call 'The Diana Effect.' During her all too brief life, she revitalized the family, but her death changed them forever. Today, nearly two decades (!) after her death, everything her sons and daughter-in-law do reflect how Diana lived -- from their commitment to charities to Will and Kate's parenting style. I'd love if you'd read the entire article and share with the royal watchers you know.
