'Lunch' with Norma Kamali

This week, I 'Lunched' with legendary designer Norma Kamali for my weekly column for Fishbowl New York. Ageless Norma (who is 70 but looks 45!) has written a new book, Facing East, with Dr. Jingduan Yang, a well known expert on Chinese medicine. In our wide ranging conversation, Norma talked to me about her belief in alternatives to western medicine, the Lifetime Achievement Award she will receive in June from the CFDA and why she no longer wants to sell her collections in department stores. http://edit.adweek.com/fishbowlny/norma-kamali-lifetime-achievement-award-from-cfda-and-a-new-book-facing-east/370712

'Lunch' With The Real Housewives of New City's Dorinda Medley

One of the best parts of my job as a writer and reporter is doing my weekly 'Lunch' column at Michael's restaurant in New York City which runs on the Adweek Blog Network on Wednesday evenings. I've interviewed celebrities of every stripe from Charles Spencer, Princess Diana's brother, to Naomi Campbell to Downton Abbey's Gareth Neame. I love meeting new people and telling their stories. I've been lucky to have met so many terrific people in the ten years I've been doing 'Lunch.' Sometimes, though, you just click with someone and you feel like you've known them forever. Today's 'Lunch' with Dorinda Medley from The Real Housewives of New York City was one of those days. It turns out we worked at Liz Claiborne at the same time way back when and both have interesting connections to Diana. She has had a fascinating life and is such a warm, engaging person. Don't miss the new season of The Real Housewives of New York City premiering April 6 at 9 pm ET on Bravo. Here's the column http://www.adweek.com/fishbowlny/rhnyc-dorinda-medley-housewives-werent-as-scary-as-i-expected/370122

The Last Word on This Year's Oscars

This year's Oscar ceremony was one of the most talked-about in recent memory. Every year I write a minute-by-minute recap of the ceremony and deconstruct the styles of the evening's fashion winners and sinners. To read my take on the red carpet, Chris Rock as host and yet another show stopping performance from Lady Gaga, visit lookonline.com for the story.
